ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
We ensure that New Mexicans attain their highest level of health by providing whole-person, cost-effective, accessible, and high-quality health care and safety-net services.
Each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), the Human Services Department creates a strategic plan which defines the goals that all departmental staff will work towards accomplishing that year. The department has been very successful in accomplishing past goals, and will continue to make forward progress in improving the public assistance system.
