LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE

The Health Care Authority’s mission is: We ensure that New Mexicans attain their highest level of health by providing whole-person, cost-effective, accessible, and high-quality health care and safety-net services.

Step Up Program

The Supporting, Training and Employing Parents Upwards (StepUp!) Program partners HCA with the Department of Workforce Solutions to assist non-custodial parents with job development and job opportunities.

StepUp! focuses on connecting parents in need of employment with employers looking for their skills. It provides job training and works with parents to find jobs to help support their children and avoid further enforcement actions. The program is available to both custodial and non-custodial parents.

It can help you find employment suited to your experience and skills, including if you have any professional licenses or management experience. The program is also helpful if you are looking to find a better job than you currently have, and is not limited to those without employment!

Parents interested in applying to the STEPUp Program should contact their caseworker, call the Consolidated Customer Service Center: 1-800-283-4465 or visit a Child Support Services office to learn more.
